Step 1: Prepare Your Document
Before you start printing, ensure your document is formatted correctly. For best results, use a PDF file with pages in multiples of four. This ensures that your booklet will fold and staple correctly.
Step 2: Access Printer Properties
- Open Printer Properties: On your computer, open the document you want to print and go to the print menu. Select your Sharp copier from the list of printers and click on “Properties” or “Printer Properties.”
- Select Paper Size: On the Main tab, choose the original size of your document (for example, Letter) and the output size (for example, Ledger / 11 × 17) if you want to print on larger paper and fold it down.
Step 3: Configure Booklet Settings
- Layout Tab: Navigate to the Layout tab. From the Booklet dropdown, select Standard or Full Image depending on your preference. Standard resizes the image to fit the paper, while Full Image maintains the original size and fit it to the paper/..
- Finishing Tab: Go to the Finishing tab. If you have a saddle stitch finisher, select Saddle Stitch from the Staple dropdown menu to enable automatic folding and stapling.
Step 4: Print Your Booklet
- Print: Once all settings are configured, click OK to save your settings and then click Print. Your Sharp copier will fold and staple the booklet automatically.
Troubleshooting Tips
- Staple Limit: If your booklet exceeds the staple limit, the copier may prompt you to divide the document into smaller sections.
- Manual Folding: If you do not have a saddle stitch finisher, you can still print the booklet and manually fold and staple it.
