When running the driver installer the drivers are defaulted to 2-sided, and automatic color. There are a few extra steps to ensure you’re only printing color when needed.

Step-By-Step Instructions to Default Printing to Black and White on a Sharp Copier
- Press the Windows key on your keyboard.
- Type Control in the search box, then click Control Panel.
- Click View Devices and Printers under the Hardware and Sound section.
- Right-click the Sharp printer you want to default to black and white, then select Printer Properties.
- On the General tab, click Preferences, change the color mode to Black & White, then click Apply and OK.
- Click the Advanced tab, select Printing Defaults, set the color mode to Black & White, then click Apply and OK.
